We would of course be delighted to join in your festivities, help you organise them or propose a day out. Often, our holidaymakers just like to organise aperitifs around the swimming pool, where they exchange their newly found places to visit, their finds at the various markets, jokes and general chit-chat. Occasionally these get-togethers prelude a grand barbecue, where we can help in suggesting local delicacies, for example "confit de canard", which work well in these al-fresco gatherings.

Just occasionally the weather can be a little dull or relaxing by the pool just isn't stimulating enough(!) and something exciting is called for. A group visit to our favourite Chateaux for a day's wine tasting has proved a popular choice. Not only the tasting but an in-depth explanation of the wine-making process adds to the enjoyment. It wouldn't be the first time that Dave has then suggested a Perigordian repas, cooked by his goodself, accompagned by our newly discovered wines.

A popular favourite is a day out canoeing down the river Dordogne. We can point you towards one our favourite trips and make the reservation for you. You can make it an all-day marathon (the long trip) or act like grown up adults and take all day to do the half trip. As a group, this allows you all to stop, pull the canoes onto the shore to use as table & seats, unpack your picnic of local produce, recover the wine, nicely chilled from being pulled along on a shoestring in the water and relax in the wonderful scenery. Just gently drift down the shallow waters and finish a lovely day with a meal in our favourite restaurant "L'Ancienne Gare" in Issigeac.
